Ken Vogel honored 6/25/2017 with heirloom apple tree during annual Perkins House Ice Cream Social in Colfax




Sally Vogel and David Benscoter 6/25/2017 next to Colfax-planted Palouse heirloom apple tree started by seed.

During the annual Whitman County Historical Society Perkins House Ice Cream Social on that day a special dedication took place. The Colton School District staff dedicated a Palouse heriloom apple tree as a living memorial to the late Ken Vogel, longtime Pullman clothier and active society member.

Sally, widow of Ken, lives in Winlock/Lewis County. She's a former Colton School teacher.

Apple detective David lives with his wife in Chattaroy/Spokane County.

Sally and David are former Pullman residents, Pullman High and WSU grads.
