Pullman resident Kenneth Lucien Casavant will celebrate his 80th birthday Monday.
He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Bottineau, N.D., to Henrietta and Albert Casavant.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees at North Dakota State University in Fargo, and a doctorate in agricultural economics in 1971 at Washington State University in Pullman.
He and his wife, Dorothy, were married June 4, 1966, in Willow City, N.D.
He began work as a faculty member in agricultural economics at WSU in 1971.
He is involved in many local groups and organizations and serves as a member of the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation board, the Good Food Co-op board and the Pullman Depot Heritage Center board, all in Pullman. He is a member of the emeritus faculty at WSU.
