Hammer-throwers of the Pullman-based Comets Track Club, a member of USA Track & Field, practiced 7/2/2017 in Pullman.

Pullman-cupofpalouse.blogspot.com was there and recorded video/took photos.

Celebrating its 40th season of track & field for all ages, the Comets is a regional club for the Palouse based in Pullman. It was created in spring 1977. Although dated -- it was written and posted in 2003 –here’s link to the Comets History: http://bit.ly/2olzaUz

While this posting concentrates on hammer throwing, the Comets are a track club with athletes competing in all running, jumping and throwing events.

Unless otherwise noted, those shown in photos/videos posted are hammer throwers.

Photo slideshow of ‘Pullman Walk of Fame’ tiles taken 7/2017

Pullman's Walk of Fame was established in 2003 to "honor individuals who have served the Pullman community in a significant way, promoted goodwill, improved the quality of life for Pullman residents or brought acclaim to the area through their contributions." Names of honorees are engraved on granite tiles in the sidewalks of downtown Pullman, according to the Pullman Chamber of Commerce.
