At Pullman 4th of JULY 2022 Celebration: COTTON CANDY WILL BE MADE/SOLD AND SODA POP WILL BE SOLD, TOO

Below is a story of June 27, 2022, from Pullman Radio News about the 2022 Pullman 4th of July Community Celebration at Sunnyside Park.

Here's added information. A tradition of the event has been making and selling Cotton Candy. Sue Hinz, Pullman 4th of July Cotton Czarina says the tradition will continue.

“Cotton Candy sales are an “important part of the fundraising efforts, as are the other portions. This year we will welcome the community back to the park and have cotton candy and soda. Let’s hope next year we will add many more parts of the traditional event back!,” she said.

Led by Sue and worked by the Hinz family and friends, there will be delicious cotton candy made and sold. Get ready for Pullman 4th of July with the ever-popular Cotton Candy.

Hooray! Sweet!

Donations Needed To Help Pay For Pullman 4th Of July Community Celebration Fireworks From Sunnyside Park

June 27, 2022 By Evan Ellis Pullman Radio News

The Pullman Community 4th of July celebration returns to Sunnyside Park on Monday.

This year’s event will be slightly different from pre-pandemic celebrations. The big BBQ that traditionally raises most of the money that’s needed for the fireworks display is not being held. DJ Goldfinger from Timber inside the Lumberyard has stepped up to sell burgers and hot dogs in the park. The burgers and hot dogs will be available starting at 6:00. A portion of the proceeds will go towards paying for the fireworks.

The Pullman 4th of July Community Celebration is hosted by the chamber of commerce. Pullman Chamber Executive Director Marie Dymkoski says that direct donations for the display will be critical for funding this year’s show. You can donate online here: https://www.facebook.com/Pullmans4thofJulyCelebration/photos/a.128059229908635/128058016575423

The event starts at 5:00 in Sunnyside Park with music from the Community Band of the Palouse followed by legendary folk singer Dan Maher. DJ Goldfinger will take the stage leading up to the fireworks playing classic pop music.

The fireworks will be choreographed to music on your Pullman Radio Stations New Country 104.3 and Hit Radio 104.7 on the FM dial.

Pullman Transit will once again provide free shuttle rides to and from Sunnyside Park.
